Project Overview

The Maitland Square is a flagship large-scale mixed-use development within Norwest Business Park, comprising 200+ residential and commercial units. The project is a key urban renewal initiative for Sydney's north-west corridor.

Product Application

ProBond was specified for extensive interior and exterior wall and floor tiling across residential, lobby, and commercial areas:

Large-format tile installation: Contemporary mixed-use developments commonly specify tiles 600x600 mm and above. ProBond's non-slump performance prevents wall tile slippage during the setting period, ensuring accurate joint alignment on vertical faces.

Exceptional bond strength: ProBond achieves a tensile adhesion strength of ≥1.5 MPa — exceeding the C2 classification requirement of 1.0 MPa — providing long-term, reliable adhesion in wet areas including bathrooms, kitchens, and commercial washrooms.

Extended open time: ProBond's 30-minute open time gives tilers sufficient adjustment window for large-format installations across wide floor areas, reducing waste and rework.

Interior and exterior versatility: A single product specification across both interior residential zones and exposed exterior public areas simplifies procurement and quality management.

Application Notes

Applied using a 6x6x6 mm notched trowel at approximately 6–7.5 m² per 20 kg bag. Mixed at 5.2 L of clean water per 20 kg bag, rested for 5 minutes, then re-stirred before use. Tile levelling systems were deployed to achieve flat-plane tolerances on large-format tiles.
